What the recording demonstrates
The app displays changing AAPL quotes and reads selected market values aloud. The demonstration changes spoken-value selections, opens Settings, and switches between Full and Strip views. Spoken numbers are examples from the captured session; the setup guide below explains the controls.
From opening the app to hearing your first quote

Get connected.
Get started with DailyQuotes Ticker. You’ll need the installed app, your license key, and access to a supported data provider.
Open & activate
Open DailyQuotes Ticker from the Windows Start menu. On first use, enter the license key supplied to you and select Activate. Read and acknowledge both disclosures, then select Accept and continue.
A license is bound to one computer. Activation is preserved through updates and reinstalls for the same Windows user. An internet connection is needed for activation and for market data.
Add your symbols
Enter a ticker in Symbol and select Add. Repeat for additional symbols. Select a row in Full view to make that ticker active, or use Remove to remove the selected symbol.
Add at least one symbol before testing an Alpaca connection or connecting to IBKR.
Connect your data
Open the gear-shaped Settings button in Full view, then select your provider under Market data. Your account, credentials, and market-data entitlements must be configured with that provider.
Charles SchwabBrowser sign-in
Select Sign in and complete Schwab’s sign-in and consent steps in your browser. Choose Open DailyQuotes if prompted, then return to the app and check for Signed in.
AlpacaAPI credentials
Choose the IEX or SIP feed according to your account’s entitlements. Enter your API key ID and Secret key, select Save, then select Test connection with a ticker already added.
Enter credentials only in the app. Do not email or share your private keys.
Interactive BrokersGateway connection
Run and sign in to IB Gateway or Trader Workstation (TWS), with its socket API enabled. In DailyQuotes, set Host, Port, and Client ID to match that setup. Add a ticker, then select Connect.
Data availability, timeliness, and access depend on the selected provider and your account. DailyQuotes is not affiliated with or endorsed by these providers.
Choose what you hear
Use Interval in seconds to set the reading pace. Under Spoken values, choose the values you want and adjust Read mode, Voice, and Decimals.

- Use an abbreviated reading for this value.
- Voice only
- Read the value without its field label.
- Order
- Move a value up or down in the reading sequence.
Select fields such as Last, Bid, and Ask. Scroll the list to find 5-Minute Opening Range High and Low. These use the first five regular-session minutes, 9:30–9:34 a.m. Eastern, from your provider’s available bars.
Speech selections apply across the current symbol list. Use the audio button to mute or enable spoken updates.
Find your view
Select Strip view for a compact horizontal display of the active ticker. Select Full view to return to the watchlist and spoken-value settings. The pin button keeps the app on top; the theme button switches between light and dark.
Keep up to date
Install updates using the latest installer supplied by DailyQuotes. Your saved settings and activation are preserved.
